I want to thank everyone for all their support. The donators, the well-wishers, the ones with their fingers/paws crossed for my babies! I don't think I could have survived this without you by my side and in my corner! :grouphug:

The ones I am worrying about are, and where we are now as of today;

Jonah - we are going to try a day without a dex injection. I was thinking I would be bringing him in to be pts this morning, but he seems more alert and happier overall, so the fight is not over quite yet.

Melvin - Melvin got through Sunday without a "bad spell" :joy: His lungs are still absolutely wretched but he's warm and his eyes are bright. Waldo has "thunking" lungs but isn't acting ill.

Black Berk 1 girl (they are still not named) is very thin, and unwell. She sleeps in her house most of the time, but takes her meds eagerly at least.

Charity - sneezing like crazy, and her 2 little girls, I moved them up to baytril/zithro now.

Arista, Adella and Nala's URI's are much much worse, but at least their eyes are better.

Norbert - still sounds like uck but he's well-fleshed and happy. I just remember almost losing him and that scares the dickens out of me.

Clemmie - rough, rough lungs...poor lass needed an injection today for comfort. She's still very active but extremely loud :(

The 2 old halfie girls - one's lungs sound awful and they both have severe HED and tumours.

Yara - watching her carefully, she was just like Melvin not long ago.

The Plague babies are still sick but active and playing...weeks of antibiotics so I watch and wait it out. I don't want to add doxy to their baytril/zithro if I don't have to.

Wednesday is Weaning Day for the wee's and then we will see how the boys' immune system works, once they are off mom's milk/immunities. Keep your fingers crossed!

Good news but... so many ill ratties still! I'm really happy that things seem to be going in the right direction, though. The worst of it it behind now, what a relief that must be for you! :hugs:

Good vibes being sent your way. I am so glad you are seeing improvement but wow still so many sick babies. I just don't know how you find the time in your day to take care of everyone. Hugs :hugs: You are a rattie angel!!

It's sad but so funny at the same time...

I'm sorry to hear there are still so many that are sick. I hope this bug runs its course soon!!!
Will everyone be immune after this passes through?

I agree there. It made me giggle it is an awesome group name. I think a theme should start with those babies. all after plagues.

Hahaha the Plague babies are Chilly and Bella actually...sweet little monsters!

They will be immune to that particular strain after this is over at least. I am waiting to find out with the sickest if they will be damaged for the rest of their lives.

Still medicating all the rats, for weeks more. Still tired, but a little less stressed.

Going to lose Jonah today. I woke up too late to run him to the vet to be pts, so I have the snuggle safe warmed and wrapped in fleece beside him, gave him a big dose of metacam for any aches/pains and I am hoping he leaves us quietly today. :sad3: If not I will take him in tomorrow and let him go. No miracle turnarounds for my wonderful boy :(

:hugs: I'm sorry... there never is a good timing to lose them. He knew he had to leave fast if he wanted to leave in his beloved momma's arms...

Rest well Jonah. Play hard at the Bridge with all of the friends you lost way too recently...

He's gone. I am glad he was able to go quickly and in my arms this morning, but now I have to get ready for work, when I just want to cry.
I'm sorry you have lost Jonah. I'm glad he went quickly and you got to be with him. At least you won't have to worry about about him while you're at work. :hugs:
