Thank you everyone... the good vibes and everything else are working like a charm, or so it seems! :joy:

I went to pick up Hunter tonight and really was not expecting to see the receptionist widely smiling at me, nor my vet asking me if I wanted to see Tanner for a few minutes. As at 6:30 pm, she told me he had started eating grapefruit and brocoli already, and has even started chewing on his blocks! She told me he was also starting to gain some color back! She went to get him and came back with my Tanner confortably lying on top of the cozygloo I had brought for the boys to snuggle into. He was a calmer version of my Tanner, but he was all of Tanner. What a relief it was to see him! I know he is still critical, but I believe his chances are getting better by the minute - paranoid mom will still be calling in the morning to make sure he made it through the night, and then I'll be visiting him end of day when I take his 3 girlfriends to their appointment.

Thank you sooooo very much for your support through this ladies... since his vet visit last Friday, I've been miserable and nervous and angry and scared - don't know where else ( :crazzzy: ) I would have gone without you!
:thankyou: :lotsohearts:

Addition: I am rereading this and realizing I still am wearing my shell to protect myself from feeling hurt... the tone is dryer than what I intend, but believe me, he really was looking good, and I really am relieved! :giggle:

Aww that is great. I worry that first day like mad. But I know we are alot better the second day. He sounds like a little fighter.

That's our boy!!

You are such a great third mama to him (LOL) - you really take wonderful care of the boys & I'm so glad that since he had to go through this, it was with you at his side. :hugs:

I just relayed everything to my mom all excitedly - "he ate grapefruit & broccoli already!" lol
We're both very relieved to hear such good news! :D

Praise the ratty god if there is one for saving his little life! :joy: I hope he fully recovers like a charm and he comes back home with you soon!

:giggle: Yes mother Shelagh, I called back this morning once I knew the vet techs were done with their rounds, but couldn't post 'til now since we had to tear the appartment apart for a technician that's coming any time now!

So for all of you who shared my anguish for Tanner, here's this morning's update...

I didn't have to talk to a tech, Eliza at reception had all the details ready (think they were expecting my call? :giggle: ). She said Tanner was up on all 4s and walking around the cage, drinking from his water bowl - so everything is looking good! :joy: I'll have a more detailed update tonight, when I go visit him before, during an after my 3 girls appointment.

Megan - Thank you for trusting me with your boys - it does show they had a great second mom :D . They are a COMPLETE joy to have around and there was no way I was letting playful Tanner leave me and his brother without fighting teeth and nails first, and thank God, my vet is just like me (I swear, if we didn't have that strictly professional relationship, we could be sisters!). I think he is out of the woods now, and I even started hoping they will let me take him back home tonight -- if they don't, I will have to wait until Monday as I am going away tomorrow for my nephew's birthday.

So more good news tonight! Can't wait for the appointment... would be so since to leave with 3 and come back with 4... :cheeky:

:joy: Sounds like he's doing awesome!! He's a strong boy, I knew it! :D

Like you said, Nancy, he's coming home - non negotiable!! Now just a matter of when...
I think they'll let you take him home tonight! I mean, he needs his brother & mom before Monday! lol
