Its a wee bit swollen, but I am also not used to seeing the surgical site on nakeds. He's definitely happier :D

don't forget that chelle and I went under pseudonyms, but if you want to read the worst rat forum in the world, enjoy :p

Thanks

You were very insulting for their free club... didn't you know it has 40 members and is gowing?

HAHAHAHAAH

Can I request that no one posts on their forum about this? We went under aliases but they have my phone number (I had to call to get info) and I really just want to
distance myself as much as possible from them. I don't want to give them reason to start poking around.

Aye..... I was going to say it isn't a good idea... and say they *did* get more rats and by some chance they needed rescuing, you'd then be unable to get them possibly.

Their youtube videos make me cringe... :stickpoke:

I don't even want to look at their videos. The forum was pathetic though... that made me feel a little better. :p A rescue forum runs best.

I'm glad that Eli is doing better!

It makes me laugh that half the posts there are from Jo and Shelagh and sad that there are a couple of people on the forum that think it is the bomb. I wonder if they were ever members here? There are a lot of similarities in the way they tried to structure the "community"... they were trying to do a forum "meeting", calendar, etc. Maybe it's just the way a lot of forums are structured.

Gilbert is booked in to see Dr Munn tomorrow...that wound needs professional attention. I wouldn't want him to lose more muscle in his shoulder than he already has. :sad3:

Eli is back with his cagemates this morning and doing very well. :)

I'm so glad that Eli did so well. With that eye gone and good pain meds on board he's probably feeling the best he's ever felt. Now to put some meat on his skinny little bones! Bravo for what you are doing for these guys.

Good luck Gilbert!

Eli's little face was swollen on that side, and when I came home tonight, it had deflated, but it looks like either excess porphryin or blood had pooled under the skin and its now out...he's much happier tonight. he's exploring and sooo bright.

Gilbert was anesthetized and had the affected tissue surgically removed and his wound was closed up. It should be just fine now.

Now I only have some moderate URI's, a few abscesses and poor little Emma to deal with of this group :D

Emma failed the cheerio test, and has classic PT symptoms. I was out of dex so picked up some tonight and she will get a sub-q injection to see if she responds. I would like to give the sweet wobbly little lady a short lease on life now that she is in a better place.

Aw poor Emma! She's so precious, too!

I am impressed with Gilbert's stitches, though. It fits together like a puzzle! Very cool, glad he'll be doing better. Is that leg any weaker for all the muscle damage?

Woo hoo, most everyone looks so much better!!! I'll be keeping little Emma close in my thoughts though. You've come to far now for any backstepping...
