Can Chelle grab these boys too? I can come out on Wednesday (well to Guelph) to pick them up.

Gilbert had his treatment again tonight, and more ucky tissue was trimmed off...I cannot believe how sweet this boy is.

Poor Gilbert...again? Do we really have to? It would be more fun if I just sat in your lap don't you think?

It looks much much better! The other ones have a massive layer of the dark, dead tissue around the edges. And there was gooy stuff coming out of the wound! >.< Definitely less of both now. So, although I'm no expert... looks LOADS better to me! :)

Also... when you mention "trimming"... that means literally slicing off the dead flesh? With... a really sharp razor? Or something?!

@.@ (Whoozy just thinking about it...)

if I start walking now, how long do you think it'll take me to get there from southern NH?!

in the meantime, please kiss that sweet face for me, ok?

It is loads better really...he has also gained weight and spirit. When he was first here, he would try to eat lab blocks and fall over...we weren't sure what was wrong with him, but he started eating and drinking, now the abs and the wound treatment.

I use small very sharp hair cutting scissors and go very slowly...a little at a time, and he stays sooo still.

Poor poor Eli...and poor poor me. Eyes? *shudder*

This morning his eye started pushing out of his socket again...blech, then he scratched at it and the blood flew...I have put the entire sequence except the last one under the Spoiler for the squeamish.

Sooo glad that eye is coming out today, and that there are no respiratory sounds any longer!

he scratches the protruding eye suddenly...its kind of a neat shot for the non-squeamish I guess
