Could you give them Dermoscent little shampoos with the mousse? It doesn't need water and would definately get them smelling better. If you spray it in your hand away from them the noise wouldn't bother them.

The smell doesn't bother me anymore...its fading fast :) I was a smoker for years, quit ages ago, but really don't have much of a sense of smell anymore...which tells you how bad they reeked when we first got them and Chelle and I were gagging. LOL

That looks great!!!! You might want to lower the hammocks a little, they aren't spry little youngsters with all that they have been through :D

Then again, they prefer to sleep on shelves anyways :giggle:

Its been a bit of a medical night. Milton's cyst had a lot of pus in it, so I softened the scab and was able to remove most of the guck inside. He's on baytril as well so lets hope we can maintain this bugger.

Gilbert had his 2nd treatment today. He let me soften his scab and remove some. The rest he let me debride. I went very slowly and carefully...letting me know if he was in any discomfort, then I would stop. He stays so very still during all this...then the hydrotherapy which he doesn't like but was better about this time. We both only got moderately wet.

A few more flushes and I bet it will be cleaned up real good and the healing can start.

I've come up with names for my two boys.

Meet Chief:

And Doc:

Eeek! That wound looks NASTY! >.<

Sorry, but what's "hydrotherapy?" Is that just flushing it with water?

And Chief and Doc look really smug. LOL. Especially Doc. :joy:

They must be like. OMG#@$(@Y?! What just happened! SOOO much room. And this stuff under us is CLEAN. And what is this? Love and Attention?! 0_O

I momentarily thought about getting my Rudd together and squeezing two more in! Ha! Then I came to my senses, not before thinking about offering to foster. These guys got me twitter painted. Those minks are gorgeous, the self gals are sweet and the bonded two melt my heart. Thank you guys for all you've done. I wish I was closer and able to help. Bless yous!!

Those living conditions are hard to look at.. those poor ratties :\

You're a saint Chelle... I'm not joking at all.

Gilbert's hole is looking so much cleaner Shel. Keep up the spectacular work.
And hopefully Milton just has a abscess, or if it is a cyst after all the pus is drained it decides to neer bother his hide ever again.

Jo, your boys are looking so great (and cute ) !

I so wish I lived closer to help out with care. I have a feeling that Milton might disappear into a pocket and find his way into my house. He looks so sweet. We lost Yoda and Dobby a while back and being nakedless sometimes feels very lonely.

Those pictures of the living conditions do look brutal. I truly can't believe how stupid people are. Thanks so much for getting them out of there. You crazy people make me feel sane, I'm so glad to know you all.

Oh my. He's a big one too. He can come with old man daddy, but that's it. :thud: And please don't ask me to take more. (cause I probably will and don't have room).
