I only got the one pic this morning before she hit the floor to go running :D But the good eye is very bright :joy:
Her bad side is not quite as swollen and looks better than last night IMO

She looks SO MUCH better!!! Make sure you give her tons of kisses from me!!! :love6:

Tonight I come home to a slight smell of infection around the eye and actual very liquidy pus coming out a bit. This is sooo not fair!!!! I will call the clinic first thing in the morning :sad3:

She's bright, she's happy, she can jump accurately a distance of just under a foot to get where she wants to go :p Her swelling hasn't gotten worse, but there's more leaking pus now...do you think it just needs to drain?? 6:42 am? Need to wait 2 more hours before I can call. :/

VERY glad I decided to call first. My vet isn't working today :( I am sending an email he will hopefully pickup and Christine will snag him and ask what to do if she sees him (he built the apartments above the clinic when they had it constructed a few years ago)

Have you guys tried to culture the infection in her eye? Poor thing! And poor you!

Not yet. That may be next but I personally think drainage is going to be important...the swelling is down so she's not "blowing up" like they worried about.

maybe this will make you roll your eyes due to the simplicity of it and the fact that you've used it 1,000 times on ratties, but what about a little dab of polysporin ointment to keep it at bay? You can use it on dogs so perhaps ratties too.

Polysporin is great for open wounds, gashes etc...but on closed wounds or abscesses it is vital not to use it. Lilith has 2 antibiotic beads in her eye cavity right now but they take time to dissolve and start working. She was just too fast for it. She's back out again too...running with the midland boys (she's spayed)

Poor Lilith! I hope this will get under control very soon so the two of you can have a well deserved break! And in my mind, today is the last day of the week, so hopefully karma will be changing tomorrow!

Going to have another coffee, and then head back to the clinic to pick up metronidazole for an additional antibiotic for her.

I was just going to suggest that, Metro helped Sophie a lot with her yucky tumour.
