How did the scab get so big? did he open it up that much himself? The abcesses I've seen have only had a smallish to medium opening.

Poor Eli! When I saw that minute little black dot, I knew it would wind up an abscess (loooooong experience with cellulitis, never with a black head, but so often no head for the first little while).

Looks like the paraphimosis has cleared up too?

No. The last surgery Eli had was his initial eye removal. He hasn't been to the vets since his seizure...these RTR's get weird crap on them and in them, so I am not completely surprised at this.

It looks more ucky this morning, BUT Eli doesn't reek like he did. I can kiss his head or his back and he smells normal again, which to me is a huge improvement. :joy:
