Here are Day 10 pictures. The colours are so cool! Some of the light kids have such a neat colour as if some agouti goes through it a bit to give it a darker colour. Very neat. I'm not sure if that means they're going to be smeezers or not? It's such a different colour, You'll see what I mean in the pictures.

I will have the kids look at the pics of the girls...is the agouti berk boy mine?!?!
We will need work out sending up some money for you to get his boy bits taken care of for us...lol
My youngest thought the agouti colors were pretty! I am surprised she thought that I showed her a pic of the dad...she loved it, her sister loves hooded rats, and she thought a agouti hooded would be cool...but what ever you think I think the light hooded would be good, I bet she turns to smeez my Peanut and Cookie looked like beige hooded and with in a week or two they were smeezers!

Look at the smudge on teh nose of your beige hoodie...mismarked smeeze-dom is coming :joy: I think you have a pile of smeezies, black hoodie, agouti berk, and agouti hoodies...I love the little goot with the spot on his/her back  z

Can Smeezers have agouti points? I know zip about rat colours. I am still mystified by my Lexi, who is probably a mismarked smeeze with blue points. Those baby rats are going to be very pretty, whatever colours they turn out to have in the end.

I believe "agouti" or the sepia coloured points are the standard with siamese.

Ahhh :thud:

So . . . much . . . cute

It's a very good thing I am in Arizona or I would be snatching a couple of those little rat sausages for my own!!!

Especially love "girl 3", though they are ALL beauties! :love7:

Yup agouti berk is yours :)

So Boys 6 and 7 are adopted and the other person around my area is going to adopt boys too but he hasn't choosen any yet. So that's 5 boys adopted! yay! Works out good that you're taking a boy and a girl then Tanya lol so we'll have even numbers.

So they are going to be smeezers the light ones? I always thought that they got their colours later on I guess lol It's crazy though how they almost look like a faint chocolate. So neat.

I love boy 3 and boy 2  If I could have, they would have adopted written all over them! lol

You must let me know who adopts black hooded boy, I will send gifts. Theres just something about him, and its funny cause I really don't have that much of an attraction to black hoodeds LOL

They are all beautiful guys, great job!

We can't wait for them to be old enough for our little boys to come home with us (me being Kathy from the emails :) ) My fiance was so happy when i told him about the babies that he said yes right away which made for a good start to the new year!

lilspaz, thanks for posting the link to info about Siamese colouring. That explains a lot of things! Turns out that the colours can take months to develop, so Belle's babies' true colours won't be known until long after they are adopted. I hadn't realized that the fur colouring was dependent on temperature. I guess that Siamese must work better in Canada!

Maybe I'll put my babies in the fridge for a bit to darken their colour  -- just kidding!!!
I think I have himalayan rather than siamese according to the article. That's OK, their belllies are just as kissable... :cheeky:

You really see the difference between himi and siamese when you own one of each lol I also thought Cas was a siamese, until I got Bobby. Bobby is a nice dark creme color with dark brown points that go up his back, forehead, legs and down his tail. Cas was a brilliant white with faint smudges on his nose and tail.. they were like night and day. Personally, I think the himi is beautiful

Here are yesterday day 11 pics. There eyes are getting so close to opening!

For some reason Belle moved them all to the litter pan instead of being in a nice clean basket? lol I don't get it
