Sorry if it makes you dizzy... was trying to keep my eye on the buggers in case I had to pull 'em apart. At the end, I don't know who initiated what, but more Devil fur flew than Steamy fur. No blood as far as I can tell- there weren't any squeaks, either. Calmed everyone down before posting this.

Lastly- the boys had been on the bed for a couple minutes together before I decided to get the camera out.

Any thoughts? Usually it's just Devil ripping out fur, but Steamy has been through the drill enough times to know... this is the second time Steamy has pulled out Devil's fur in return.

Seems to me like Devil is just scared... keep trying like this?

Might take the video a minute to finish uploading on youtube.

Is Devil neutered? He definitely has issues.
One thing you can try is that each time he goes to rub himself on a rat, you push him away and say no. Only do this if you are sure that Devil won't bite you.
And no more treats for Devil! He needs a diet. :giggle:

All the boys are neutered. Pee Bear will be at the 3 week mark next Monday. Devil's been neutered since he was 2 or 3 months old.

I'll try pushing him away :) I've only been munched by him once, and not badly- I had flipped him over and rubbed his chest after he got all poofy toward Steamy and Dreamy- he looked really apologetic afterward and has never chomped down since.

I put Devil on a diet once.... he GAINED weight! LOL Little bugger.

Poor Devil. To me it looks like the neuter had no effect on him. All the poofing and side stepping is aggressive behavior. I am very confused about this boy, I am sure you could keep trying, but maybe Devil will have to live the rest of his life alone :sad3:.

Remi was like that too in the beginning and he had been neutered for some time. We persisted and today he's living with 5 other rats. I would continue intros.

He sure is living up to his name isn't he.
Or maybe he longs to be a coreographer and is just trying to show Steamy and Polar Bear his wicked new dance moves.
:happydance: Do the devil bubble butt shuffle....to the left...to the right...shake that fuzzy rat booty....oh yeah. :happydance:

Oh that man has issues. :) Keep going. I'm sure they'll eventually end up happy together.

One thing that is very important is to keep doing it in a neutral area.
My parents took in a very big rat and he was the same way, each time he would go rub his butt on someone, my dad would put his hand in between and gently push and say a firm No... Squeeks would then turn around and cuddle with my dad, but he would keep trying and dad would keep stopping him with his hand. Eventually Squeeks stopped rubbing his butt on rats and started to cuddle with them instead. You just never know!!
