Vet recommendations? (Maine)

Have any of you gone to vets in Maine? I have a vet I've gone to a few times, but I'm a little skeptical about his expertise (or at the very least his empathy towards rats). There is another vet I've gone to, but she's currently on maternity leave. I already have to drive a while for a vet, so distance isn't a huge problem for me.
I'm probably going to have to take one of my rats to the vet soon, so I'd like to know my options. Even just suggestions of where NOT to go would help narrow it down at least.

I am also having issues finding a vet here in maine I know in bideford/Scarborough there's a vet that does exotics do they might be an option but not 100% sure

Ask Mainely Rat Rescue ….. they should be able to let you know of good vets for rats in Maine
