here's a recipe that I have made for ratty treats at Christmas. They have been given extensive quality control testing by my ratties and SQ's ratties, who give them a "Four Paws and Tail Up" rating. I got the recipe from another forum, but can't remember who to give the credit to.
Peanut Butter Banana Oatmeal Cookies
Prep time: 10 minutes
Bake time: 7 - 10 minutes
Ingredients
1/4 cup peanut butter
1 banana
1/4 cup uncooked oats
1/2 to 1 cup whole wheat flour
1 tablespoon sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
Preheat oven to 450 degrees. Line cookie sheet with foil, spray or coat with butter Measure out the Peanut Butter and empty into mixing bowl. Peel the banana, add. Mix together until a creamy mixture forms. Add the sugar and cinnamon. Measure the oats and add together. Mix well. Insert the flour, 1/4 cup at a time until a tough dough forms. Roll dough out into "snakes" and cut into 1/2 inch nuggets. Bake at 450 degrees for 7-10 minutes or until lightly brown. Let cool. Serve to hungry ratties!
[Edit: last time I made them I put in much less sugar. They don't need it.]
