You are very welcome. Thank you so much for the Snap Together Inn.

It was wonderful to visit with Dahlas, her family, and of course all the ratties.
Beautiful babies and wonderful pictures.
Sidney and Piper are both such wonderful girls!!

The cage looks great!!
It looks really nice the way you have it decorated. :)

How nice to get to meet each other! It'd be nice to talk with people who don't think I'm crazy for owning five rats.

The cage and the babies look great! Now...where can I find out how to make this banana mash? :D

I'm not sure bron, but I'd take a guess at getting a banana and mashing it!

so she is obviously unaware of the complexity of this recipe!!

After mashing the banana, blend in thoroughly a teaspoon or so of smooth peanut butter, then add about a tablespoon of unflavoured yogurt. Some ratties like to have a tablespoon of oatmeal flakes added but, for babies, it's better to keep it as smooth and liquid-y as possible.

So lovely to see more photos of those sweet babies!!!

And yes, it is a real treat to meet someone else who doesn't laugh at my choice of pet! We all gabbed so much about rats that poor Dahlas' hubby finally retreated to watch TV. He has longer endurance for rat talk than does my husband, though!

Dahlas, you did a great job of the cage. It looks like home, and i can just imagine those babies zooming around it as their mobility increases.

BTW, I had a hair-raising drive home last night. The internet weather forecast had said clear weather Sunday and bad weather Monday. Well, the bad weather hit the NB border early! I left Halifax later than planned and drove straight into a mini-blizzard just before entering NB. At the end of my drive there were only a few transport trucks and me on the road; you'd have to be nuts to be out there in the snow & ice pellets & (eventually) rain. Only saw one pair of snowplows and that was about 30 km from home. So I got to find out that my car is very good in the winter conditions (whew).

Ok seriously I thought banana mash was just well... banana mash, I didn't know there was a recipe.

Today my darlings are 18 days....okay I want to stop time and keep them this age for a few months....They couldn't possible get any cuter...hehehe I have been saying that for a while now.
They love being in the top portion of the Martins cage....They are running around and starting to wrestle with each other...They are so sweet and trusting...They run towards my hand as soon as I put it in the cage.....licking and chewing and today two of them starting wrestling with my hand...sigh....how I love these little ones.
Piper seems to enjoy the bigger cage to...She can get away from the wee ones and take a much needed nap on her own.

It is hard to believe that I have only had Piper since the first week of January. What a love she is..... :love7: .....She loves to be picked up.....almost putting her hands out like a baby....."pick me up, pick me up". Sydney loves her.....and will be so happy to have her friend back full time.....
I am so thank full that my vet thought to call me instead of putting this precious girl to sleep.......

I will post a few pictures later today of the babies when I take them out in the playpen for a play.........

Oh and for any one interested in getting a Martins get a flip top...I love being able to flip the top open and reach in a play with the babies when ever I want to......
It is easy to wipe out.......great cage for Mommy and babies......

Glad to know that the new cage is working out so well! Martins really knows how to do rat cages.

LA, I hope you know that I was kidding about the banana mash recipe. It's certainly not complex, but somehow I got a reputation for having a recipe, and people have often PMed me for it. So I ham it up about having a special Godmother-exclusive cures-every-ailment-from-mites-to-myco secret recipe.

Dahlas, my most wonderful rat was on from the SPCA. I had almost not gone to see the girls. Even though she broke my heart, (had to have her pts due to huge abdominal tumours) I still cherish the memories of my Ness.

Rescue rats are amazing and once in a while you will find that gem. Piper is one such gem and offered you so many more too.

Godmother invented her famous "banana mash" about three years ago for Cindy, Caleb and Jordan. Ratties looove it!
Fortunately godmother is willing to share her rattie tested and approved recipe with us lol

I dreamt I was making the stuff last night!! HEHE but I also dreamt I was pregnant and my boyfriend would end our relationship if I didn't call the child Kevin, even if it was a girl.

Any more baby pics Dahlas? You've got us all hooked and waiting :p

Sorry I didn't get pictures yesterday.......I had my wisdom tooth pulled out yesterday morning...had some complications from it and so was on Demerol....that stuff knocks me out. I must say my babies still got out for their playtime....I set up the playpen, laid in it and let the babies run all over me..........
They are very active now....wrestling and running everywhere......They run towards my hands as soon as they see them....licking and nipping....we have to work on that....little devils.
I just snapped off a couple pictures...will post them ASAP :D

Here are a few pictures......

I know...I wish I could keep them like this for a few months.......They are so cute....running around the cage like mad...popping and squeaking...and then they crash....in a heap....... that is when I cuddle them.. :love7: ...It is hard to believe that they are only 19 days old........

Such wonderful little ratties!
Looks like they are having lots of fun exploring, climbing, & playing.
I guess that Pipper must have given up trying to keep them in the nest
