That could be a cyst, abscess or a malignancy. But I would treat it like an abscess. Keep it clean and let it drain.
If you do have baytril, it would surely help.

Monte's wound looks so much better today! I can't get over the difference! I'm wonder if he still should go to the vet or not?
I think the way it's healing it was an abcess. What do you guys think?

Monte said he wanted everyone to see his face seeing how they have seen his man parts lol
Out huge 1.5lbs boy lol

i wrote a post, but for some strange reason none of my posts like to show up when i reply to any of Lindsay's threads - annoying!

Is he still urinating ok? that is a harsh place to get an abscess!

Yeah he seems to be peeing fine.

He's doing really well today. Being a big sook of course when ever we want to check on it.

I'm wondering if we should just leave it alone or should we continue to put salin on it to keep it clean? Do you think where it's closed and healing polysporin would be good to go on it now?

I wish I knew how he got an abscess and one that huge! It's weird we didn't feel anything especially where he's so big we have to use two hands to pick him up lol

I'd go with just continuing the saline, but you could reduce the frequency. You want this to heal from the inside out, and the polysporin will make it heal from the outside in, trapping in any bacteria and possibly making this a big problem again.

So the wound is pretty much all gone but we've noticed that Monte hasn't been like himeself. We took him out to look at his wound and when I touched his tummy it seemed to hurt him. I could also feel something not right. I think he might have a tumor in his belly :(

Did he have an appt with the vet?

We had canceled it where he was healing. We're going to make another one and get her to check him over. If it is a belly tumor it'll just be a waiting game to see when he tells us it's time :( Poor guy is only a year

Taking Monte to see Dr. Gallon at 4:20 today. He was in a lot of pain last night. So much I had to give him some metacam poor boy. Hopefully Dr. Gallon can find out what's going on with him. It seems ever since he got that ear infection (which we're still battling) he has been getting sicker and sicker :(

Just got back from seeing Dr. Gallon. She think he has some kind of infection in his belly from what she could feel. So he's on baytril and metcam to see if this will get rid of it. Hopefully, poor boy was in a lot of pain yesterday.
