mass intro- Phase 2 and phase 3- partial move in

the funny thing is most of my neutered boys have died. In the big group of 12, with Edgar and my old girls. None are neutered. The group with the music men, Finley was the only one neutered till I had george, paul and ringo done but those 3 are not in it. In the final group Tart and Sebastian are the only boys neutered in there. We have Fabian neutered but I spay all girls and I only neuter the boys when they are super skittish or mean. All my other boys are really good guys so they kept their little testicles.

I failed to do intro's today. I had so much stuff planned for yesterday but with having to put al to sleep I kinda lost my time. So I had to get the cage cleaned today and my cage project done.

I am at a loss right now what to do with Ringo. If he in facts has a clotting problem any type of fight could end up deadly for him. I had him with the boys for a bit today Ringo and simon had a bit of a fight so I put Ringo up. He is healing looking a bit better but I have to keep him from screwing up what clotting he does have so that he can heal.

Right now I have ringo, paul and George in one part of the cage the others have the bottom two parts. I dont know if i should plan on this being for life or if I should try him with intros later. You may have bites in intros so it totally scares me.

That is a dilemma. Poor Ringo. He might need you to choose a girlfriend for him and that be it for him. Or wait till the rats get older and try again.

Long as it all goes ok that's what counts. On a personal note I love all your ratties, in fact i love all colors too, but is it so wrong that I have a special liking for nakies too? Your nakies are absoluetely adorable! After losing Dax I was heartbroken and he was my first nakie, he was always skittish of me, but i had hope after his neuter he'd warm up to me but alas we all know what happened. Moving on I hope to one day have more nakies, maybe girl nakies too. But is wrong to love that particular breed? I know it's a mutation and it's not neccissarly good to breed them...they are gonna be there regardless anyway. Dunno, just dn't wish to be judge just cause I love the different types hehe

My daughters melts over dumbo girls. So I think it is natural to have a certain rattie that melts you.. for me it is blues..jorats loves rexes. I do have super cute and sweet nakid rats lol

We did day 4, Cash was bit by Tweek. He might learn to stop trying to hump the hairless guys but I somehow doubt it. I left Isis out today she seems to be having a bad day. I put george and paul who were neutered on the 22nd in for a little bit and they were ok for a little while then I took them out.
I know I will have at least 4 problem rats. Sendai has been out of it since he was a terror back in the cage. Wont put Ringo in it yet. And George and paul will take some work. I suppose cash will get his butt handed to him a few time before he stops mounting the boys. But we had that a few times here they usually learn LOL

I am still trying to figure this all out. Not how to get it going anymore. I have some that I can do till neuters and the other need to heal. sadly they are from different groups so I may have to just do these for a while.

Have you thought of perhaps having the rats play together during out time but live in separate cage? For some reason, that's how it's working out with my cage. They just don't want to live together.

I have but I want open cages for them with permanent access to the floor so that defies my reason for intros. The 3 neuters boys were not involved in the intros before today, so It is kinda expected. There is a reason why I had them neutered LOL The only problem is, Ringo unsure if i wanna put him with such a big group because of his bleeding issue.

I kinda did a halt on intros for now. Next weekend Eagle is bringing me some of her ratties so I decided i might as well see how they are and go from there. Since she is bringing me 4 girls, they will be spayed on the 19th of this month along with Sendai after his little episode I figured closer to that time I can start again. I will get those 4 girls with my music men for sure first then go from there. I think.... It is on hold to say the least. By then ringo, paul and georges hormones should have left the building. So i should be ok.

Isis my 27 month old girl, took a turn for the worst right after I lost my Algernon, which was when i was doing intros. Bindi is doing pretty bad, Pika looks older, and I think Horatio my naked hairless male had a stroke last night. I decided not to stress my oldest rats out I want whatever time they have left to be happy not stressed over rats moving in. I will be working on the groups i have here plus the ones eagle brings me, which is some boys and 4 girls. I love my boys LOL I will slowly get them into a big group but for now till some of my older ones are gone, I am gonna let them be.

Aww. I'm so sorry about your oldies and failing health. Maybe you could concentrate only on the young ones? A young colony and an old colony.

I figured that would be better. I dont want to imagine causing a heart attack because I did intros. My youngest two in that group are about 14 or 15 months old, the rest are all 17-27 months. After Aligator and Isis I just figured I owed them not to do it. Isis probably wont be with me but a few more days. She is my first girl she came with skittles so I anticipate a hard loss, considering I tear up just thinking about it. Horatio well you know those rats could be a few weeks or a few days. The others I just know they approaching it.

The ones Eagle is bring me is about the same as as my music men. So between their group and Horatio's group i will fit them in there with them and the new girls. then I will try to get Horatio boys with the group when he passes which will leave 8 rats for them. to mix with. Then no more rats unless it is a straggler here or there for a little while LOL. I seem to get them in spurts and we started another spurt of rats passing.

Little Blizzard will whip them into shape, she may be small, but she is a firecracker. The only one I worry about is tiny little Squirt she is the timid one.

We have our new boys. I decided to leave my oldies out of intros because they just dont need the stress. The music men, 11 will hopefully be living with the 7 boys I got from eagle. I did an intro today, briefly since it is still new to the smeeze boys so I figured i would start them now. we were out there for probably 30 minutes or a bit more. So I didnt see one puffy boy either.

Only 4 of the 18 boys are neutered.
