I just witnessed Davey licking Eli's pee as it dripped out of Eli. Why is he (Davey) doing this?

i read this here about rats peeing so maybe its the same concept maybe when he licks it the pee tells him things?:

I wouldn't worry too much. My rats constantly leave little drops of pee on me or on something else. One will dribble a little and then another one will come along behind her and lick it up. Kinda weird, but it hasn't seemed to be hurting them.

Once Sebbie left a few drops on my hand, I licked it and waited for the info to come but nothing. I'm kidding of course. :laugh4:
