It's a TENNIS ('TEN - IS')
BALL.
;)

I think that's a stretch, "is" is pronounced IZ, so that makes it a ten IZ ball, no such thing! LOL

and really just cuz it's rolling around doesn't mean it's a ball

yeh, they were really reaching with this one!

In all seriousness, that's really how a lot of these puzzles work. The trick is in making the connection. :D

:pffft: I have to disagree. It's round AND rolling around - sounds like a ball to me.

:razz2:

OK, bring on more!!

we'll just have to remember these are based on loose associations, really loose :laugh2:

How quickly we forget, Petunia....

Remember this puzzle from a while back:

You answered correctly:

the road (or path) to hell is paved with good intentions

Hmmmm. I really can't see how you got the word "intention" from the ten SHUN's in the puzzle. I mean, it's a real stretch because the word is actually pronounced intenSHIN not intenSHUN, but still, somehow, despite there being no such thing as an INTENSHUN, you still came up with the correct answer. It's almost like you sounded it out or something... :evillaugh:

Sorry, it's not my intenshun to give you a hard time! ;)

:laugh4:
I guess it's cuz I've always (mis)pronounced intention, intenshun
I mispronounce a lot of words (and then there's the whole 'merican way of slurring our words, etc)

besides the sign pointing to hell certainly helped.

If the tennIZ ball one had a racket in there too, maybe then I coulda got it, but I don't think so, cuz I've never called a tennis ball a tennIZ ball,
but probably from now on, I will, and I'll laugh when I do, and no one around will know why, and they'll think I've all gone 'round the bend,
and they'll send out the men with the little white coats and the butterfly nets and take me away..

and, and, it'll all be YOUR fault for posting these silly dingbats :lol6:

more, please!

LOL! That is a good one. I never thought to count the IS. Man, this one really had me sitting and thinking which I try to avoid. haha
Time for another!!!
