two part harmony?

I never would have gotten the harmony part by myself though, so if this is right more than 50% credit goes to BlueSkyy

So close to the "official" answer, that I have to give it to you! The official answer is THREE PART HARMONY.

of course!!

I knew it seemed a little bit off, I kept saying, two part harmony.........doesn't sound quite right

I only know the term from an old Bread song I think it was, "just an old fashioned love song, coming down in 3 part harmony"

but Blue Skyy really gets this one.
I wouldn't have guessed the harmony on my own I"m sure. I don't have a musical bone in my body :giggle:

Old-Fashioned Love Song

Just an old-fashioned love song playin' on the radio
And wrapped around the music is the sound
Of someone promising they'll never go
You swear you've heard it before
As it slowly rambles on and on
No need in bringin' `em back,
`Cause they're never really gone

Just an old-fashioned love song
One I'm sure they wrote for you and me
Just an old-fashioned love song
Comin' down in 3-part harmony

To weave our dreams upon and listen to each evening
When the lights are low
To underscore our love affair
With tenderness and feeling that we've come to know
You swear you've heard it before
As it slowly rambles on and on and
No need in bringin' `em back,
`Cause they're never really gone

Just an old-fashioned love song
Comin' down in 3-part harmony
Just an old-fashioned love song
One I'm sure they wrote for you and me
Just an old-fashioned love song
Comin' down in 3-part harmony
Just an old-fashioned love song
One I'm sure they wrote for you and me

To weave our dreams upon and listening to a song . . .

According to Wikipedia, "Barbershop quartets sing 4-part pieces, made up of a melody line (normally the lead) and 3 harmony parts."

I first heard the term "3-Part Harmony" the same way Petunia did.

Here's the song Petunia was referring to...

pretty sure I know this one.........
but I'm gonna pass so someone else gets it

If you know the answer, you should post it. If people are still interested in playing after this, I can post new puzzles. :D

no problem LOL
It's funny that I thought the answer I came up with could be the only right one

I don't usually feel so sure of something. LOL I"m just poking fun at myself.
