So I am falling madly in love with little Darby.

She really seems like an old soul and smart as a whip!!! Yesterday I was doing an intro with D & D, and Bella and Co. But it seemed that pushy Honey had no issues with Dandelion (subordinate and knows it) but did with Darby even though she wasn't showing any signs of it. I heard screams and saw Darby "running for her life" with Honey right behind...I walked over, bent down, called her name and put my hands down...now every rat that is bolting will just keep going, if you do catch them they shriek like a banshee thinking they are about to get attacked...this one instead, besides being in full bolt-mode, 2 feet beyond me, heard me call, spun around and ran into my hands! I got bathed in kisses as soon as I picked her up! :wow2:

Then she seals the deal by climbing up onto me, and falling asleep as I stroke her... *melts*

Dandelion is really wonderful too, but is learning...she is definitely not an old soul but she's very curious and very handleable. I was told once she hit the floor she was gone, she was a real wild child, but this girl lets me pick her up with no issues :D

Wow, that is such a heart melter story! Darby LOVES you and you are her safe haven! I am in huge melt mode here! That is so wonderful! I can only imagine how you felt when she stopped and ran back to you, straight into your hands with kisses and lickies all around! Sigh...I wish I had been there to see it! She is just adorable to boot! What a love honey! She has 100 percent trust in you to protect her...awww!

The timing of her surgery tomorrow is now perfect, the darkening skin on the chest tumour has become thick black and shiny like a scab...this tumour is about to rupture which is pretty much a death sentence for this pretty gal!!

Sending all the good luck in the world to you, sweet girl! Stay strong! We are all rooting for you!

Good luck with your new rescues! Thats a really nasty looking tumor :( I love the earlier pic of...Darby?...kissing your hand, so sweet!
Just curious, and I might have missed over the explanation, but why do you say that you think the blue is over a year? I had a very young girl ~Ruby~ get an armpit tumor and have it removed at maybe age..6/8 months?

The reason I think Dandelion is older is her build (more over 1 than anything, the mammary armpit tumour normally will not rear its ugly head until 15 months or a bit younger on average. I am sorry your little lady had one sooo young as its not the norm. :(

Sigh, got a call from the clinic. The bottom tumour no problem to remove...the chest one sadly has grown across her entire chest and she possibly won't have enough skin to close the incision. I had 2 options. 1) Let her go now, as that tumour is rupturing and we have at the very most a week, or let Dr Munn try but if he finds he doesn't have enough skin to close the incision he will euth her on the table. Of course I chose option 2 but I am crying. They are giving me a 50/50 chance she will make it through. She's being prepped right now so I should know in an hour or so. I told them if they have to euth, just to call and let me know ASAP and put ME out of my misery of waiting as well. I asked Chris to kiss her for me before she gets put under... :cries:

Oh, my. That is hearbreaking! She looks like such a sweet girl. Let us know just as soon as you do, I think I can safely say we are all pulling for her! I so hope she ends up okay!!!
