Hi, I know I havn't been on here for ages but, I have a little trouble with my sisters rat Dougie! He bites my little rattie Tim!

We have a little water bottle which we squirt at him if he bites us or Tim ( Because he bites us as well) But yeah, Tim has had a few bites and he's terrified and he stays in his little tunnel or his dolls house, or his stable ( because he has his own little hide outs, (cheeky little thing  :hugs: ) but I'm really scared of him now, because he's bitten me 4 times now and he's bitten my sister 3, he's bitten my cousin Ryan once and I don't know when he's going to do it again he tryed last night as well! :sad3:

But it's Tim that I'm worried about not me. Tim is so sweet and kind, he doesn't diserve it! We've got some cream for Tim, so that might help. But I don't know, do you think you could help me, please.

Thank you, I would much appreacheate it. :). :hugs:

Dougie shouldn't be biting, can you get him neutered? How old is he now?
BTW, a water bottle to squirt him with is not a good idea, you don't want to get water in his eyes, nose or ears.

Thank you for the advice, it helps a lot, i wasn't the one that thought of the water. :( I'm actually not sure how old dougie is? he could be about 6 months maybe , but he isn't nutered. He is VERY, VERY dominent, he just attacked Tim just now badley, there wasn't any scratches, i mean i didn't see my sister did, but Tim was soooo scared, he's also lacking in confidence when he's around dougie so I really don't know what to do about it, i love Tim, i like dougie, but my mouse Twinkles old now, i love her more than anything in the world, i'm also thinking when i'm looking after tim iu look mand see twinkle and i'm like oh! :sad3: But thats not really about the subject.

He is sooooo biteing, he was nearly and trying to bite my sister today aswell! :redhot:

I don't know what to do with him?

Hope to hear something, thanks!

Depends on the vet sometimes. I know our vet said it'd be around 100 bucks. They usually charge the same amount as they would if he were a cat. I would call around the different vets and find out a price or if you already have a vet maybe they can work something out. It's always good to have a good relationship with your vet I think.
I agree the squirt bottle idea isn't good either. Dougie sounds like the alpha to Tim which would be why he's acting like that way too if they haven't been intro'd together on neutral ground. Though I don't know much about boys as we have all girls right now.
Hope he settles down after a neuter.

The problem is, we can't afford that muched, I mean it would be soo nice to be able to trust Dougie and Tim together, and trust Dougie altogether!, but it's soooooo much!!!!!! :sad3: :? Tim is soo dear to me, I don't know if we should just Neature Dougie, because it would be better for both of us, ( me and him ) or we should not go through with it, as we ( me and my sis ) have to pay for it, vet bills everything, we promised! :panic: HELP!

The thing is I can't even be in the same room with him, without worrying that he's gonna bite Tim or me even!
So what am I going to do, and how am I going to get that kind of money!?

Thanks for the tips, it does help.

Just now, Dougie attacked my foot, for no apparent reason at all!!!!!!!!!

He just went over my foot and bit me hard, and he wouldn't let go, but I swong my foot then he came off, he wasn't hurt ( thank god ) but my sister tryed to help, and he tryed to bite her, ( And he did a bit) me and my dad have been talking and we both agree Neartureing is the best thing, but we are also thinking about the cost. :?
Anyouying about that bit.

Tim's been great tonight, he's soooo cute and friendly!!!!!!!!!!!
