I did. I just feel hopeless as he doesn't really respond to my presence. :(

Good thing we took hundreds of pictures of him while he was healthy.

He looked like this just the past week :

A little update on Ruby. We still haven't been to the vet but Ruby has shown some improvement since yesterday. He eats well (like two whole syringe of ensure each time and he would continue if I let him), he wants the syringe and licks it, he is able to wipe his face with his paws, he opens his eyes alot more easily and widly, he stretches his back legs when I pick him up, and he gives me little kisses with his tongue. =3

Also, he didn't make any seizures attacks or whatever you wanna call it since then. His head keeps twitching though, even when he sleeps.

I don't know if I should put him to sleep. He seems like he still wants to live. He tries very hard to continue his daily activities.

Also, he didn't drool today at all.

EDIT : He boggles alot and he can reach his ear with his front paws and washes them. =)

Ugh... I thought he was happy and more responding... Well, he only bruxes / boggles when I pet him so I don't know. He stops when he thinks I'm not there anymore. And he holds the syringe in his paws now. So.. Gah.. I don't know... He seems more alive and responding to the world. But it may be PT for the bruxing / boggling.

I am so confused. :wallbang:

Well, we'Re back from the vet and the vet checked him and didn't sound too desperate with him. She gave him some powerful baytril and I asked her for the steroids but she didn't want to give some to him since he was already depressed and it could depress him more from what she said.

Enyways, I have an appointment in 2 days time to check him again. We'll see how he's doing then I guess.

*goes and cures her horrible headache*

Opps forgot to mention that important fact. XD She said she thought it was an ear infection that grew so badly that it infected his brain. She thinks that with enough antibiotics, it maybe be enough to kill the infection and it should bring him somewhat back to normal. I hope she's right and it works.

The baytril is 5 mg/ml - 10 ml. Give Ruby 0.4 mls by mouth every 12 hours. Ruby is 13 ounces. He was 13 ounces and half in January so he didn't lose much weight.

It could be an ear infection... our girl Pip had an ear infection and was similiar to your boy. Sadly she didn't get better but she had chronic URI and was always the runt of the whole siamese family. She was never 'strong' so when it hit her, she didn't have enough fight in her. Not sure that it was seizures your boy had or more spasms? A few of mine have gone that..... but sometimes when in pain, the reaching back to 'clean' and nothing there, sometimes biting themselves when they did so.....
