Poor little girl has been through so much in her short life. I don't know what the outcome is; SQ was waiting to hear from the vet when I spoke to her before noon.

Oh poor little darling! Its going to have to come out or you will have to put her to sleep...what black and white options for your sweetie. :sad3:

I know ..... my vet is still researching to see if surgery is an option ....
if it is, it seems like the only reasonable option.

Gave Toofer some metacam ... wish I had know earlier .... she hides pain much too well. :sad3:

Still no news from the vet ... I called twice today ...

Toofer is now bleeding from her eye and her face is really really swollen.
She is eating dissolved lab blocks ... guess the metacam is helping ...

Suggestions??????

ONe possibility is that the Metacam (which must be keeping her comfortable) is making her prone to bleed more easily. Nothing you can do about that right now, since pain control is the highest priority. But I think she will have to be pts. Her problems are very challenging. Poor sweet girl got the worst genetic loading.

I have to agree with godmother......this poor girl has just genetically not been given a chance....She has endured so much.

Sweet Toofer Jane has gone to the Bridge. It's been a very sad day for SQ, because she also had to have Dandelion pts.

Some days I think it is too hard to have rats as pets. Their lives are so short, there are so many awful things that they die of, and my heart hurts thinking of SQ's grief.
