For the Benedryl, my vet told me that .05 to 1ml twice a day should be good on an adult male. If .5 didn't help, we would up it in increments up to 1ml.

Did you find it helped at all?

Jo did you mean .5 to 1 ml?

He sounds congested but he's living well with it. He's in good shape and seems very proud of running his little route through the log and into the ferret tunnel. I don't think its bothering him as much as you. :p

Never Tried the Bendedry or Clavamox yet. waiting to get probiotic yogurt today for the clavamox, and the Benedryl ..is it okay to give it while weaning pred? & should I give that a go before the Clavamox?

haha yeah, I think Im always bothered more. It just sounds so bad ..even tho he dose not care haha. I'll try these two things, if it don't work, and he is still happy, I will let ot be! ..but you know me, I must try everything haha

The Bendrly seemed to work wonderful the first two days with no congestion, now the congestion is there again, but sounds to be broken up.

ETA: I'll keep him on the Bendryl ..I am going out of town for three days starting July 30th, returning on Aug 1 ..which means my mother in law already has to give Toby 0.8 ml of bendrly twice a day and also Badger is on Baytril for a mild resp infection ..she will have to give 4 dose in total to each ..so I don't want to put Toby on Clavamox until after I get back! She has enough to do already :wallbang: ..I'll start the Clav Aug 1st!

I know :( ..but like I said before, he is not in pain, and he is doing well with the congestion. I'm just going to try the Clav just to see. So leaving him until I get back won't hurt ..he has been like this for several months, it's not bothering him in the least :)

Well turns out the Clavamox just too hard on Toby's belly ..the bendrly stopped working after two days ..so I guess Toby will just be my funky sound man :giggle:

Just wanted to give an update on Toby!

He is stick around, his breathing is not getting any better. The clav. was too hard on him, the bendrly helped a little, but he refuses to take it most days.

He is over 27 months old now, and the last of mommas babies. He still loves food and like to come out, just he needs to take his time.

sigh ..Toby is not doing so well anymore.

In his cage he is good, but if you take him out/do anything to get him excited ..he gets out of breath and his breathing gets very laboured. His inhaler helps relieve him ...and tonight I started putting a container full of hot water next to the cage with a blanket over half the cage and the container (so the steam goes in there) ..it seems to be helping. His tail and feet are cooler than normal :( (not as cool since I have the hot water near the cage) He still eats everything in site ..and loves getting ear rubs.

ETA:My vet dose not like heart meds, so please don't say I should getthem ..cause I can't :(
