You & the meds snatched some good time back for her. And it's a double bonus in that she has less 'hard time' to do in the time she has left.
She's making the most of every ability she has, isn't she? and like so many others said she's living to her fullest. That's more than most people do. These kids really do pack a lot of living into a short time, I guess it's kind of supercilious to feel sorry for them when we'd do better to emulate them.

Calla, you've lived well and you are a shining example, more so than most humans will ever be, no less than any human that is someone we can aspire to be. And your mom has documented your battle - the battle you've won for sure by rising to your abilities, not sinking with your weights. She honors you for the benefit of us all. You'll never be weak or disabled kiddo, you're strong and capable as anyone could be within their abilities.
Whatever this does to your body kid no way is it gonna affect your spirit. I wish you the ultimate peace of mind & heart thru this. Kisses to you Calla.

I'm so sorry to hear that she's taken a turn for the worse, Shelagh. I couldn't believe how you were able to snatch her back when she first started showing symptoms - that was incredible! How is our little lady doing this morning?

Calla is very quite quiet, and slow today. I am going to warm some ensure and try to syringe it into her for fluids, she doens't seem to want to eat on her own today.

So Calla likes to fool us all. She was refusing food and fluids on Sunday night and I was pretty sure we were close to the end :(...then last night she seemed more alert, all her cereal and Ensure was gone from their dishes, etc...hmmm

Today she is running around the livingroom, not the same explosive self but pretty happy and pretty agile. So I am going to put down her cage, her water and cereal in the livingroom and let her have at it today

Amazing! :happydance: Gorgeous girl has some fight in her doesn't she?
That certainly is good news, hopefully she can enjoy her life to the fullest until it is her time.

It certainly has been a roller coaster for you thought hasn't it. :hugs:

Jeeze. She has given me a dang heart attack. I so thought that she was at her end. What a fighter. :joy:
