Seriously 3 bleeding girls! It is utterly crappy luck 7/7

Isis bleed through the weekend, still spotting.

Skittles today.......... looks nasty

I am separating them till i can get some pictures of his willy LOL He has to have a rattie STD or something that is hurting my girls uterus/vaginal opening.

He is the one who humps them, the first two happened after they were in heat!

I am trying to set up an appointment for skittles lump but i am also taking him him to have his deadly willy checked!

even with my utterly crappy luck, THIS IS NOT POSSIBLE!

If anything, I would think that it's a bladder infection going around. Do you see the blood in the urine? Is it a lot of blood? When you turn over a girl, can you see if the blood is coming from the opening or the slit to the urethra?

No it is from the opening you can see coming out. I seriously thought Isis was a goner from it.

Now skittles is doing her heat dance and templeton has been humping her.

Isis, who has a spot on occasion, but nothing like this which happened the first day. She was in heat as well........they are set for a spay on the 22nd.

I am off friday, I put templeton on baytril, I am taking skittles in for her tumor removal hopefully, then I plan on taking him along to have his still large testicles checked out.........something isnt right. Tobys were super small, just flaps of skin, his still feel like there are two nuts in there...........

Oh wow. That is scary stuff. I went through something similar. It's hematuria caused by a bacteria. I dont have the name on hand but if you do a search on hematuria here you'll find my thread. This can be deadly. I'd asked for clavamox. If it's Templeton, he'll need a neuter, it seems to clear up on males with a neuter. But the girls will need to be treated. Look for my thread.

You are telling me, I am rushing them in for spays that cost 3 times as much as I could have it done!

With pika, i was terrified, With isis, i freaked out but thought something wasnt right, 2? With skittles, Templeton now gets all the blame, there is no way that all their uterus are failing at the same time, even with my luck, that would be like 1 in a million? if not more? and they are only a year and half ish so they are not all older yet..............


And Yes leave it up to me and my crazy group to get something so insane LOL

he is neutered! it was done on march 10! is the clavamox mixed up? I have pills from the dog...............there is something going on and i am not sure but i know it isnt their uterus it is his willy

Yeah that is my point, it feels like it too, i thought maybe it was something with how this vet did it, I was planning on taking him to my good vet when i took the girls in, but i am taking him in friday.........

and Yes i know, he is still and no it is from the girls. when Isis was bleeding she was alone. And now the boys are way from my girls. His looks fine but i am not sure what to do or think..


I dont think it is that hematura no boys have been bleeding and it is just the girls from their actual opening not from the urine. I have had them pee on me and on light colored stuff there is no sign of blood anywhere. I have been watching closely since my two girls started bleeding.

no, and pika is fine, outside of that lumpy stomach i posted, everyone else is fine. toby died that same day as pika started bleeding, but every one else is fine. Those two were not near each other, cage mate wise. No one else is sick...... my group of boys are just fine, running eating, it is only the girls that Templeton mates with.

When I re-read what I wrote, I was literally on the ground laughing so hard and crying. My sister said exactly that... a superhero vet? Or a transformer vet...

It must be just a horrible coincidence with the bleeding... but three now? Will be you getting them to the vet? Do let us know what she/he thinks.

I emailed the vet with all the details about my little hugh heffner and his testicles feeling large still. I know none are pregnant so they are not working by now i would of had tons of babies, it has been 3 months and he is a busy boy with 5 girls in heat LOL.

I just wonder if she did a vasectomy on them and not a neuter? Is that even possible?

I am at a loss, my rats are in separate groups again, and I am unsure what to think right now.
