The past 24 hours so many things have ran through my mind.
Why should I leave something I love? just because of immaturity? I'm stronger than that! I'm an adult, not a kid, I'm no longer immature, I grew up from that years ago ..just because others are immature, don't mean I have to suffer. Life is too short to spend your time complaining.
"you can spend, minutes, hours, days, weeks or even months over-analyzing a situation; trying to put the pieces together, justifying what could've, would've happened - or you can just leave the pieces on the floor and move the on"
"everything happens for a reason, people change so that you can learn to let go.. And sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together"
Enough of this and back on to the more important things in our lives ..well I know it is in my life ..our RATS!
Ryder got his stitches taken out this AM, it went well ..I just held him, and Dr. D. did his thing! Dr. D. said everything looks good, and too keep an eye to it!
He told me the surgery was WAY more invasive than what he thought it was going to be, he said it was quite a rush ..Ryder lost a lot of blood and the surgery took a lot longer than what he hoped.
Ryder is one
very lucky boy!
Dr. D. said the tumor had to be there for
at least 4 months, as there was a lot of dead tissues, etc inside.
I told him we were keeping them, and all he did was laugh and said "how did I not see that coming?"
All was well, got home and put both boys back in the cage, a few minutes later BAM ..Badger lunged into Ryder and took a chunk of skin off his shoulder (no blood) ..I cleaned it up with saline and he is already on Baytril ..so that's good ..and Ryder don't even know anything is there or happened for that matter. Last week Badger lunged into my hand, and now this ..so I picked up the phone and booked a neuter for May 2nd.
My vet is on vacation after today until the 2nd, so I'm stuck without a vet ..so going with my gut and advice for Lilspaz, I have Ryder and Badger in different cages, side by side ..they will get out together for play times though! (we figured this is best ..ever since Ryder got surgery, he has seemed to be very cautious of Badger (I think his big tumor may have been his security blanket) ..he always backs away from Badger ..and usually never sleeps with him ..most times I would come home I find one in the house and one outside the house).
I really hope this neuter calms poor Badger down! I feel so bad for these boys!
I won't be snipping Ryder, as I don't think he has an aggressive bone in his body + he just had major surgery ..that's enough surgery IMO!
