I'm sitting right here and waiting for you to come back! I WANT PHOTOS and long threads and updated topic lines, those little extras that no one else puts the effort into that makes the life on the shack a better one! You have done so much to help those in your area Hun, those rats could never have the care they do now if you were not the way you are and did the things you did. My Sammy is ALIVE today because of you! Please stay!

Mind if I camp out here with you, PitLuvs?

I'm right here with you guys.

I have fallen head over heels in love with these two boys, and that's because you've been able to show us who they are thru your loving eyes RM. I wasn't able to donate, I wish I could have. I posted where I could hoping to get some more help for Ryder and was just as thrilled as everyone else that he's done so well and that  he and his brother  can stay together with people who adore them.

I must say, regardless of the 'crap'/'drama', etc... I am smiling at the friendship and community that is shown.
I don't always 'get' what's going on in a 'thread', etc... and, I sometimes jump to conclusions, then remind myself to wait it out and things will probably become clearer. The written word is so, so, soooooooooooooooooooooooo tricky. So many things can be, and are misconstrued.
I am still new to forums, and forum etiquette, etc... and, I was tempted to 'jump ship' at one point; however, I simply took a break, rested and lurked. :giggle: It takes a lot of energy to put oneself 'out there'.

RM, I'm sorry you were hurt. You stated you don't have family near, etc... That this community means a lot to you... take a break. Rest up. The Shack is yours, just as much as it is others... breathe. You are the genuine you. No one else can be you.

You can't please everyone. You are always going to offend someone. If we could all be everything to everyone, just think how boring this world would be... Chin up, Renee.

The past 24 hours so many things have ran through my mind.
Why should I leave something I love? just because of immaturity? I'm stronger than that! I'm an adult, not a kid, I'm no longer immature, I grew up from that years ago ..just because others are immature, don't mean I have to suffer. Life is too short to spend your time complaining.

"you can spend, minutes, hours, days, weeks or even months over-analyzing a situation; trying to put the pieces together, justifying what could've, would've happened - or you can just leave the pieces on the floor and move the on"

"everything happens for a reason, people change so that you can learn to let go.. And sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together"

Enough of this and back on to the more important things in our lives ..well I know it is in my life ..our RATS!

Ryder got his stitches taken out this AM, it went well ..I just held him, and Dr. D. did his thing! Dr. D. said everything looks good, and too keep an eye to it!
He told me the surgery was WAY more invasive than what he thought it was going to be, he said it was quite a rush ..Ryder lost a lot of blood and the surgery took a lot longer than what he hoped.
Ryder is one very lucky boy!
Dr. D. said the tumor had to be there for at least 4 months, as there was a lot of dead tissues, etc inside.
I told him we were keeping them, and all he did was laugh and said "how did I not see that coming?"
All was well, got home and put both boys back in the cage, a few minutes later BAM ..Badger lunged into Ryder and took a chunk of skin off his shoulder (no blood) ..I cleaned it up with saline and he is already on Baytril ..so that's good ..and Ryder don't even know anything is there or happened for that matter. Last week Badger lunged into my hand, and now this ..so I picked up the phone and booked a neuter for May 2nd.

My vet is on vacation after today until the 2nd, so I'm stuck without a vet ..so going with my gut and advice for Lilspaz, I have Ryder and Badger in different cages, side by side ..they will get out together for play times though! (we figured this is best ..ever since Ryder got surgery, he has seemed to be very cautious of Badger (I think his big tumor may have been his security blanket) ..he always backs away from Badger ..and usually never sleeps with him ..most times I would come home I find one in the house and one outside the house).

I really hope this neuter calms poor Badger down! I feel so bad for these boys!

I won't be snipping Ryder, as I don't think he has an aggressive bone in his body + he just had major surgery ..that's enough surgery IMO!

ETA: Fixed Typo & to Add Pic's

(You would swear girls live here according to the hammies LOL)

Glad to hear you changed your mind! And I'm glad to hear Ryder is doing well and Badger is getting neutered. (I think there's a typo at the end of your post and you meant to say you aren't neutering Ryder... either that or I misunderstood the entire post!)

I just read this post yesterday and wow what a tumor! And so glad Ryder passed with flying colors  Such beautiful boys you have there :thud: Give hugs and kisses for me :lotsohearts:

P.S.So glad you decided to come back :hugs:

I knew you wouldn't stay away!!
Besides how many Rat Shacker's did you want sitting at your front door wanting tea and Biscuits? :giggle:
Good thing too as my bum was getting sore. :)

I´m happy you decided to stay too! :madeday:
I´d have camped with Pitluvs too, if you hadn´t come back before I saw the post :rose3:

RM very happy you decided to stay!! KUDDOS to you for rising above! I knew you could do it! I have seen you deal with so much the past short time I have been here! You are so much stronger then you realize.

Hugs to those beautiful boys for me!

Ryder got his own thread, so now it's Badgers turn since they won't be living together until after Badgers neuter!
Once Badger is recovered they will have a combined thread in who's my rattie section!
