Rachael is eating well again from the syringe.
She is active and although far from ok, Rachael seems more aware and purposeful.
Rachael has gone up the ladder in the CN and climbed into a hammock twice ... a concern because I think she will still walk off edges ...

I am very encouraged as the bromo is helping

I'm glad to hear she is still improving. When my ratties got wobbly and unpredictable, I put two shelves in one section of the CN. That way if they fall it isn't very far.

Rachael was very active last night.
I was doing an intro while I took apart and cleaned their CNs.
All my ratties except Alpha Mariam were together in the playpen for over 10 hours ....
Racheal was extremly active and cuddled up with other rats.

Today Rachael is dehydrated and barely responds.
She has taken her meds and been given sub-Q fluids three times.
I think the meds are no longer helping.
I think Rachael, my sweet baby girl, is dying .....

I haven't taken her off anything.
I gave her fluids again this am around 8 am, and tried to syringe some food into her.
I will be going back at noon to give her more sub-Q fluids and to give her her morning antibiotics.
dex and bromo are given oncea day in the evening.

Rachael is very dehydrated and peeing .... by giving sub_Q fluids does not seem to be helping to hydrate her.
Will call the vet's office at noon, wondering about having her pts later today.
Just want to go home and hold my baby girl.

I am so sorry Holly, could she be going through renal failure? :(

((hugs))

I'm so sorry SQ. Could the Bromo be giving her a tummy ache? Some of my rats stopped eating and drinking with Bromo and had stomach pains.

Sorry she is having a bad turn. I'm glad she got to spend lots of time snuggled up with the other ratties yesterday. Maybe the mania is part of what is going on.
