Thanks .... no vet appointment today .... I phoned as soon as they opened this morning.
The soonest they can get me in is tomorrow afternoon :(

Thanks! Surgery scheduled for Friday!
My vet doesn't think it is deep, although it is attached.
Hopefully the surgery will go ok, and Rachael will leave her stiches alone this time :gaah:

I am feeling very very relieved

We are home from the vet and Rachael is doing well.
She isn't feeling great as the surgery was quite invasive.
So far she has left her stiches in, praying that continues .....

Oh no! I've noticed some of my rats seem "confused" for a while after an operation. I too thought it was PT but they recovered well. Good luck with Rachael.

Rachael paws the ground in front of herself.
She seems confused and may be blind .... she had little on no sight in one eye that was damanged
Rachael now often moves around the cage along the side the the cage

Rachael looks very weak and frail :(
Rachael is able to eat her meds out of a dish but seems unable to eat peas, cereal etc.
I am now syringe feeding her and she eats an amazing amount.
It makes me wonder if she is aware when she is full.

Afraid to start her on pred until her incision has time enough to heal.
Rachael has a vet apt. on Tuesday ....
