Native Earth 4018

I just noticed that a 40 lb bag of Native Earth 4018 (aka Harlan 2018) is on sale for 19.99 at petfooddirect.com. That's insanely cheap. Would it be okay to feed to adult rats if supplemented with plenty of veggies to bring down the overall protein intake?

It is fine, it's what I feed my rats.

Call them and see if they can tell you the mill date. I got some from another place cheap only to find out the mill date was already at 6 months. Sometimes there is a reason it is so cheap. Just a heads up.
You may want to check out www.nationalpetpharmacy.com They have a flat rate shipping and the last shipment from them was milled in Sept of this year.
