Thank you for your response. I just didn't know what abbreviation that was.
Upon taking her to the vet because of lethargy, low body temperature and not eating/drinking, my vet (exotic) couldn't seem to see any symptoms that could lead him to make a diagnosis. The day after her vet visit, she began having seizures - she "shakes off like a dog" very frequently and flaps her front paws in the hair, and last night had a major seizure flopping and jolting around for about 30 seconds. She is also excessively grooming and can seem to reach her front paws over her head to groom, but can't hold a piece of food. She seems confused and definitely not her normal self by any means. She is bruxing a lot, mostly when I am holding her/petting her....and I know in the past that for me meant she was content and happy...but now that she is ill, I can't tell if it is because she is glad to be close to me or if she is in pain when I am holding her.
Not that I don't trust my vet, but i took it upon myself to do more research about what I am seeing in her behavior changes, and came upon a pituitary tumor. The symptoms make sense, though I don't think she is as "Extreme" as I have read/seen videos of. I am assuming she did not just randomly become epileptic and that she indeed is having a brain tumor - though I wish this wasn't the case. She has suffered URI twice before and has come through. Her blood-sister, Saetia, died at 1 year 2 months, where she got sick out of nowhere and died within 12 hours. She did not have an autopsy but my vet had told me she had an internal tumor in her lungs. I am just finding to figure out how I can help my sweet Peyton and hope that if I can get the right combinations of meds tomorrow at my vet visit, she might still be able to have her quality of life for a while longer and help her with the seizures and hope she might gain enough strength to eat on her own. The only thing she is eating on her own is a/d science diet cat food that I put in an upside down medicine cap. She won't drink from her water bottle and will only eat a grape if I hold it for her. If I try to give it to her she drops it and can't find it.
Well thanks for your help. I hope Peyton pulls through. And by the way, sorry to interrupt your thread on sweet Stella, Godmother. I was just glad to find any information on PT's. I am sorry for the loss of sweet little Stella.
