Well for what it's worth, sometimes you can really have oddly bred rexes I think

In Libby's litter.. Debbie can confirm this... there are some that have crazy coats and we have no idea if they are rex or standard.. they had straight whiskers but curly coats

You can kinda see it here (curly butt, straight whiskers... )

Mystery, unexplainable coats....

Oh yeah, I can definitely see the difference there... wow, that is kind of a quandary.

Maybe it's just a really really poor rex trait?

I know Plumeria was definitely a poor rex, but her whiskers were pretty curly - her little eyebrow whiskers were like corkscrews (little alien antennae, I called them).

Velvet had four rexy babies in her litter; the daddy was a rex of unknown origin and she was standard-coated, and four of the eight babies all had curly coats (to an extent) but nobody ever looked REALLY super rex....so I guess they were all "poor" rexes, as it goes.

Nicodemus, the daddy (gah he was so handsome!)

Rex genes are weird. No, scratch that, RAT genes are weird.

I *think* I have sexed the babies but I still hold the right to change my mind..hehe. When do those nipples show up? If there's any you think are sexed wrong, lemme know and I'll check again :D

I am seeing 3 boys (2 rex) and 5 girls (1 rex).

Very cute! I don't know why but I feel like it's the Bronlings all over again! Except this time, I'm not taking anyone home!

When I had my bubbers here, I had no sexing issues. But looking at those pics, I still have no clue who's what...lol. Chances are you are right. But I look at #1 and then some of the girls and then go back...Oh gees, I guess we will just wait and see...LOL

What I am doing is going by my first instinct/guess...if you think too hard with this litter you'll mess yourselves up. :)

I wish their little back markings were a bit different but c'est la vie right? OR I could invest in that multi-pack of colored Sharpies?

i think it is going to be a Sharpies litter once again (just like the cheese's if i remember correctly). especially with the girls. The first thing i noticed was how similar their marks were LOL. Yay, i thought i saw atleast 2 boys in the other photo's you posted - i didnt want to say incase they were all girls like you originally thought and id look like an idiot :) . In the older photos its easier easier to tell the sexes apart compared to the latest photos if you ask me. On those ones they all look the same LOL

YAY!

Yes, I gotta look real hard at the boys... but, Lynds, I'd only be taking 2, so there'd be one left for you!

It's really interesting - I was looking at all their coats, and the pale ones are the rexes... sorta more grey than blackish... so it's really cool that it does seem to be a bit of an indicator...

I love seeing the differences in their back markings, as individual as a thumbprint!

Love to Lilith and the eepers!

P.S.: When do they get their fur in, by the way?
