Jane - trying a steriod re red blood cells

Phoned the emergency vet on call this morning as Jane is getting worse ... her eyes look bad and she has less energy then a couple of days ago. Will try doubling the pred to 2mg/Ib twice a day, today and talk to my vet tomorrow.
I expect that Jane will soon need to be pts :sad3:

This morning Jane enjoyed licking her meds off my finger, eagering grabbed a treat (a piece of organic carrot) and scooted off to the litter box to chow down.

Jane seems to be a bit better today ... but I am concerned about her breathing - but nothing I can point to
The lump under her throat seems to have increased in size and I don't think it is just scar tissue as initially thought.

We willng be seeing the vet again on Thursday morning.

Ugh, Holly I am so sorry. Throat masses are usually invasive and its too easy to leave affected tissue behind. Poor Jane, poor you!

Jane stopped wanting to take her meds yesterday.
I syringed them into her yesterday while she cried ... because I was terrified of the suffering she might go through if I didn't.
This morning Jane enjoyed a piece of banana and I will soon be giving her some peas and cuddles.
Jane looks like she is not feeling very well.

I have an emergency apointment at 12:30 to have Jane pts.
