Well we are home, she's only getting Torb injections up to 3 times a day starting tonight. Yay. :|

She's stressed (one eye is really porphy) but she's figuring out the collar and how to get around with it.

My batteries died and are recharging so no embarrassing pics yet of poor Inca in her collar. :giggle:

She does look stunning in her regal collar
Poor sweet girl, i hope she passes out on that torb and has sweet adventures in her dreams

Inca contained in a cone....
Not something I thought that I would ever see in this lifetime :giggle:

Poor girl!

Tell her to get better fast so that we can play with the fluffy pipe-cleaner again

awww. poor little girl. I hadn't realized what a pain that surgery would be for her, especially since she doesn't have another leg to put the weight on. That must be so painful for her. & then the cone... :sad3: At least it looks like a nice, comfy, well made cone.

Collar is still on, she's still cuddled up in the cube that Nic made for us. She's living in there right now, I guess because she can prop her head up with the collar and still get support?

She looks sad, and its almost time for her next injection...poor Inca. :sad3:

I also discovered that there was a miscommunication last night. I was told NO metacam with the Torb, when they meant stop the Buprenorphine, so today my Inca had her pain meds wear off while I was at work. I called to ask if there was any way I could give her a minimal dose of metacam anyways and was told she should be on it concurrently. I tried to get home as fast as I could but she was in a lot of pain when I arrived. I took off her collar and she's cuddled in my arms right now. I gave her the Torb because its faster acting, and will give her a dose of metacam later tonight. :sad3:

oh dear, poor little girl is just having a nasty time all over. I'm so glad she's got you to snuggle her now. Hopefully the pain meds will kick in soon.

They kicked in but I think as someone else put it, Mr. Pain the genie was out of the bottle, and I am having a hard time to shove him back in. She just wants to lie still and rest/sleep but its not really restful, more exhausted. I gave her metacam hopefully to smooth out the edges.

This was her version of the metacam chin wipe

I hope she's brighter tomorrow
