Do you think her ear will open up properly again, and move back into its normal "spot" instead of being pushed forward?

Her ear will never return to normal. It is completely closed off with scar tissue which has pulled it forward like that. The best Chelle can hope for is that horrible infection is killed completely and never recurs again.

Oh, I am SO glad she's doing better! You're right, she really is looking good - and although the scar tissue is annoying, as long as the infection's gone that's the important thing. Does she seem to miss not hearing with that ear, or has it been that way for so long she really doesn't know how it would be to hear with both ears? I imagine the whiskers on her 'bad' side might compensate to some degree by picking up vibrations?

she looks kinda cute that way. I've got a cat with a 'deformed' ear and it makes it look like she's wearing a french beret, I think it's adorable (sad how she got it that way though, thru previous neglect/homelessness)

so glad that the baytril will get her fixed up eventually- boy that's a long time to be on meds but if that's what it takes.!

my girl (cat, that is) needed ear meds for over 6 mos for her fungal infection and still needs it from time to time

tricky things those ears
