Poor sweet Azzie! Good thing she is in good hands and will always have a loving home.

Shelagh, thanks so much for posting those X-rays. I always learn a lot when you do that. Thanks also to Dr. Munn for sharing them.

Today we have an issue, I have sent an email to my vet and called the clinic.

Today I noticed that the fluid going into Azzie is NOT going down tothe infection, but under her skin (sub-q) on her forehead. Poor little lady, what the heck???

Poor thing! Does the fluid leak back out after a while or is it staying in there?

It leaks right out in seconds. Its just that why is it going under her skin there, and now there's no opening down to the ear infection.

There was a miscommunication with my vet, he was planning on waiting for the culture results tomorrow, and then would call and discuss with me. He didn't know that the girls had told me he or someone would call me.

So there's verification that her ear was normal at one time and it's not a birth deformation? do you know enough of her history to know when it might have started? Before rescue or after? I know that's all secondary to her being ok, but as long as it's presented like a curious anomoly we'd be dismissive not to wonder eh?
So foremost - love & prayers, Azzie. and to you too Chelle. Hope she's not been feeling any pain from this. First Luck is already taken care of, she's in a safe supportive place. 2nd luck, she's seen a vet. 3rd luck she gets treatment, and 4th she's fixed up. I think this stage is fair to buy a lottery ticket in the lucky girl's name.
Actually, I suggest everyone buys a ticket with whatever numbers you can come up with for her. If you win you're gonna feel SO good paying for her surgery!
Extend your luck to your cheering section if you can Azzie. Scrtches, baby girl.

Dr Munn is pretty sure that the ear was normal some time prior to Chelle taking her in. Seems to think it was a horrific bite that created all the scar tissue.

Azzie will be thrilled that there is no more flushing right now, and is running around the floor with Maya quivering her little ears and butt...hehe, she's in heat. :laugh4:

She has the BEST heats. Haha.

Unfortunately, we have absolutely NO history on her, as she was dumped at a pet supply store, and then surrendered by an employee to me the next day.
