I read that somebody bathed their babes with "olive oil bath". Could someone please explain to me what this is, how to make it or where to get it? Thank you.
Thanks for your reply. That's good to know. He was still scratching like mad. When I rubbed his fur backwards, I could see little white flecks. I'm thinking it could be dry skin since he was treated last Thurs. I gave him a bath last night. I used oatmeal water which really seemed to calm his skin. He was filthy from being outside. I found him in the garbage garage at the condos I'm in. gross. No idea how long he was outside. I think somebody dumped him. Cruel humans.Your rats were treated with Revo so you don't have to worry. Oil baths are sometimes used in a pinch to help a severely infested rat with ectoparasites until you can get a proper treatment. I don't recommend them at all as 1) they hate it 2) they cannot regulate their temperature with it on and it can lead to a respiratory infectuon. 3) if they ingest too much oil it will give them diarrhea.
