thanks Jorats!
did your Flea have any tummy upset from the pred, assuming you could tell? one vet was reluctant to Rx pred because it's hard on the stomach, she said
but I've had cats on long term pred and it's not what upset their stomachs, usually. Usually they had kidney issues too, and that causes a very upset stomach- kidney troubles does.
this vet wanted to use sucralfate (carafate) with the pred, but you have to be very careful with that stuff, as far as I know, regarding when you give it, etc because it coats the stomach so well it mess up one's digestion too (I was given an Rx for this for myself but decided against using it)
I wonder if this is why some Canadian vets, from what I've read here (like Dr Munn, I think?) prefer to use subQ injections of dex?
bypass the stomach that way....
Right now Paige is sleeping with Teddy beside her- Teddy is a calm boy who doesn't mind keeping his older "sibling" warm so long as he gets to lick off the strawberry ensure she's got on her LOL
if today goes like the last couple of days, she should probably sleep til after 7
by then Teddy will be antsy and want to get out to play, if not before then
these are the few hours a day I have when the rats sleep and the cats usually snooze too, after their second meal
better try to get some work done while the "kids" are resting
although a nap sounds awfully good to me too.......
