Great news: Part of her scab fell off, and the skin is nicely healed underneath. She's been scratching a lot at the scab itself, but nowhere else.

You can see there's still part of the scab stuck, but it's nowhere near as bad as it was! :happydance:

Still not sure if she's preggo...

She's really warming up to both me and the hubby though. She's not eating a whole lot, but she's drinking okay. I'll have an updated weight in a couple hours.

No, one of my cats, my kitten Bucky (the one you can see in the picture) is being oddly protective of her, he won't let any other cats or rats near her. Plus I'm not sure how fast the Revo takes to kick in on my girls, and I don't want any yucky bugs to jump onto her, since I'm not going to treat her.

So a bit of an update, she's gained 5g, but that could be due to the fact that she's eating lots of yummyness. She's still mad nesting, but she doesn't mind me petting her so much anymore. Her scab is looking great, another small chunk just fell off. :sick2:

I'll keep monitoring weights and posting pictures. She and I are heading to Shelagh's for a visit on Sunday, hopefully we can determine once and for all if she's pregnant!

sounds like you guys are on the right track hun!
I'm SO happy, ,and greatful that Stace, you and Smiles were all able to help in giving them both the love, respect, and care they both deserved from day one!
:hugs: :hugs: :hugs:

She's gained more weight (7g) but I'm still adamant that it's due to good food.

We've also decided upon a name for her: Tilly! (Thanks Lynds!)

I think it suits her perfectly, and she likes being a Tilly.

I think a fresh start in life deserves a new name, and Tilly is perfect!

She did seem awfully frail, so my fingers are crossed it's just due to good food too :) Is she still squeaking and squirming when you pick her up? Can you get a good belly shot?

I've got a couple belly shots, but she does NOT like being picked up, and I'm trying not to stress her... I want her to like me, not think of me as someone who freaks her out all the time. Hahaha. I'm getting mixed opinions on the belly shots. I can see fairly prominent nipples, but there's still not much of a "pouch" there. If she is pregnant she's either not far along, or having a very small litter.

Did you see the scab pictures? It's looking a lot better than it did! And from what I hear the boy is getting along well with smilez_n_hugs' boys.

She's pretty frail, yes, but she's getting a lot better. She's not falling over as much as she did on Monday night, and she's gained a bit of confidence and will explore my couch now! :)

Oh this is so awesome to hear.

She may very well have a litter still I'd say give it a month and then you're definitely in the clear. I only say a month on the impossible chance that the boy got her preggers on the day you guys picked them up.

Yeah, that's sort of what we're doing. We're assuming at the earliest she could give birth tonight, and at the latest she could have just gotten pregnant Monday night. So we're spoiling her. The only problem is she's going to be stuck in a small cage for a while :(

But I bring her out on the couch almost all the time, so it's not SO bad.

I asked about her head.... He told me nothing was wrong she "Just liked looking that way because she was curious"
Wow, my dogs tilt their heads sideways all the time.....maybe their curious too :giggle:
All joking aside, I hope she gets better, she's a sweet little thing and with some luck there won't be any babies.
BTW I like Tilly. :D

I too like Tilly...it fits her :D

Just keep weighing, belly shots are very misleading, and weight never lies. :) She's very thin so she's probably eating like crazy, all this lovely yummy food :D

Don't worry about the smaller cage, you said she gets out, and she's alive and in a much better place than she was!

Tilly, I LOVE the name!!!!

She's a doll! and don't stress about the cage hun. LIke Shelagh said, she's alive, and in a loving home, ,that's FAR better than where she was a week ago!

:hugs:

Yeah, the cage is much better since StaceyM put down fleece for her, I'm sure she appreciates it!

Gosh, she was giving me heart attacks last night. She was in her igloo, and she'd make little squeaks while grooming herself (maybe the scab was hurting her?) and it sounded just like bubs! I must have ran to check the cage about a million times, but she'd just look at me, "Um, why are you interrupting my grooming?"

She had some yummy pears and oatmeal last night, and even a piece of chicken. I'm making her (and myself!) scrambled eggs right now. Gosh, this is fun, having so much good food. I usually don't make scrambled eggs this much! Hahaha.
