I checked all day for an update to see how he was doing. I know that morning walk to check on him is the worse I felt that a few times.

I am glad to see he is improving. Just continue doing what you were doing. I can see how the flea stuff could bring it on, I went through that with bedding, I thought I made all my rats sick 24 hours after a bedding change I started with noises. I think that it just aggravates what is already there.

Some of my boys look kinda yellow orange, it is the buck grease. It could be what she is seeing on him?

Dopey had fast labored hard breathing and you couldnt heard a single sound in his chest. Some of the viruses have rapid breathing as a symptom which could account for his lungs not sounding to wet? Of course i am guessing. I just read a lot LOL.

I hope he keeps on this path :) it can take a while, but when you see him walking around getting into stuff, you will feel so much better.

So glad to hear he made it through the night and seems to be improving

Stay strong little man

(About the yellow skin, it happened to my cat once, and the theory was liver failure. She stopped eating and lost quite a bit of weight, but she managed to pull through. I really have no idea if it's anything similar with your boy, but that's the first thing that popped into my mind.)

Alright. Got ahold of the spray guy and I don't have it wrote down with what he was using but I called the vet and they said that it too shouldn't have caused any trouble with my clan... He offered his condolences and didn't get defensive and was extremely nice. Because the vet ruled out his spray I declined the refund of my money. Unfortunately I don't have the money right now with Christmas just around the corner to have tests done on my boys to see what really went wrong.

Update on Gizmo. Pretty sure that its Buck Grease but not going to give him a bath right now. I don't want to stress him out right now. He's taking his meds well and I've caught him drinking from his waterbottle often. When I got home from work i walked right up to the cage and made kissy sounds and his head perked right up. I think I started crying from sheer happiness. I put my hand in his hammock and he gave me a couple kisses and bruxed as I gave him some good good scritches. When I pick him up his breathing is still shallow and fast but a lot quieter and when I rat phone him I hear less clicking noises which makes me EXTREMELY happy.

Thank god he's doing better.. with everything that happened, his (Slow, but STEADY!! :joy: ) recovery must definitely give you lots of hope. Keep us updated, we're all rooting for him

Even better tonight. Took his meds with no problem and had it mixed in baby food with no forcing. He seems much happier. Willing to come out of the hammock and come see me and some lovin. Got some photos of him. His breathing is improving. Nothing radical but slowly
