Eight survivors in my home still, aging and declining rapidly most of them. :undecided:
The "healthy" ones are Boris who has decent body shape, no URI and his HED is just really starting.
Waco, who is old, HED weakness and getting thinner but no URI and no tumours...yet.
Finley who is an aging tilty who has off and on URI's and will likely be on antibiotics the rest of his life.
Huron has no tumours, but has a URI that hasn't relented since he came over a year ago, and who is very aggressive.
Percy's tumour on his hip is strangely smaller but his abdominal tumour is much bigger, hard and lumpy, and his lungs are even worse, but he's not giving up yet!
Malcolm with severe HED and muscle wasting in his hind quarters but a strong shouldered fellow who drags himself wherever he needs to go. He has to have back baths when his scurf and grease become too much, he doesn't need a skin infection as well. He tolerates it pretty well.
Gideon who used to be an aggressive (even after neutering) boy, and who was a big burly fellow. He has declined and diminished over the last few months until he is now frail. His HED is almost full-blown but unfortunately he does not have upper body strength and its very unhappy over his aging. Last night I finally good a good deep look inside his ears and found some goop in there, I gently used a Q-tip on that ear and he started bleeding. He got metacam and he was started on abs this morning.

and lastly Toby who lives with Boris. Toby has a terrible tumour on his side, that is cool to the touch and scabbed. I watch it constantly for a sign of rupture but so far so good. Toby has just started a URI (his first) and I saw Toby trying to scratch his left ear (side of the tumour) and only could see his hip lift (he almost looked like 3-legged Inca trying to scratch her ear with her stump). I took a look and there was blood in HIS ear as well, but nothing could've caused it. I pressed Q-tips to the outside of his ear and just inside to soak up the blood...it worked but there was also clots in it.
I wonder what new thing these poor badly bred boys are going to be subjected to next. I think of them as my poster boys against BYB breeding. :sad3: We have dealt with heart issues, respiratory issues, aggression issues (majority were neutered), fear issues, strokes, tumours on the outside both benign and malignant, internal masses, PT, and terrible eye issues with seizures.
