Returning abcesses - what can I do?

You can have rats on a maintenance dose of antibiotics for the rest of their life. I have had to do that for respiratory issues. Mama Jazzy is 2 years 4 months old, and has been on antibiotics since she was 1 year old because when I took her off, she would relapse.

yes I had a rat on abs for her whole life.....and she lived to be almost three....but would go done hill quickly evertime I tried to stop them....
I have a rat now, Parker, who seems to be the same.....fine on the abs...but as soon as I try to take him off his URI flairs up again. So he is staying on what works for him....

Thank you for the advice!
I will try just finishing this round and see. If it flares up again(it took two-three months before it flared up after a two week dose), then I will look into maintenance dose.
