My boys have that. It's where they have been scratching. Nothing to worry about.

It can sometimes mean stress are they new rats that you recently got? Because if they are they may be getting adjusted to the new surroundings

Sorry for not responding, I've been very busy lately. It's likely just Porphyrin and not blood. It comes out of their eyes and nose, without getting too technical it's a red mucus, kinda like snot. It becomes more frequent with stress and illness but even healthy rats have it(best time to see it is when they just wake up before they clean it away!)

Mine also gets bloody noses, I just have a humidifier in his room and it seems to help a bunch
