Rat can't move legs and spine seems to be stiff. Help!!!

I have made an appointment today to get her put to sleep.. I can't bare to see her like this and I don't want to continue to hand feed her and watch her deteriorate. This is so hard on me since she is my first rat, I loved her so much. I can't stop bawling

I'm so sorry...she looks a lot like my old boy Hugo did in the end. It's awful making the call isn't it?
Either way, my thoughts are with you and your girl, it's a horrible decision to make but you're doing what's best by her *hugs* stay strong.

I wouldn't go out looking for more ratties, but if you happen to find a couple and you get the "I need them" feeling - then it's time.

EDIT: unless you're going to have a lone ratty, then I'd get her a friend as soon as possible so she won't be depressed/lonely
