I wish his body could feel as good as his emotions must! I wish his body was as strong and flawless as your love for him. Knowing how precious he is is going to take him as far as he is willing to go.

I hope so, Fidget. What matters most to me is that he is comfortable and feels secure.

It is so unfair that he is suffering from Myco. He will have these sneezing bouts. The last time I counted almost 80 little sneezes before he stopped.

(I asked the guy upstairs to "give him a break already!" ) :stickpoke:
I'm thinking about you and your boy. Your love is incredible, as I found out when you were there for us with our losses of Rascal and Mac. I hope it can keep this guy going. I'll be watching now.

what a wee love!

Thank you, sweetie! :hugs:

I wish the pictures would do more justice to his coloring.

The champagne/rose contrast is amazing. He is a gorgeous boy! :love6:
He looks so much like our precious Rose  I guess I'm new to rats, have associated this coloring with girl rats, or at least our Rose. I don't know what I was thinking! Of course boy rats can have this coloring.

Mommy's little mischief maker is still going strong. That could, however, change if he decides to try eating my office jet power cord again...

Came through New Year relatively well. He still has days where he won't explore and is content to laze away in his favorite flat rate box with his fleece arranged "just so". :giggle:

So what benefit does the pomegranate seed which he pilfered have for him? I didn't expect him to actually eat the thing but he had other plans. There is nothing like trying to rid yourself of pomegranate juice and wandering around with purple spots on your face. :laugh4:

Over the holidays, Buddy has been enjoying different foods. The funniest was watching him try to take off carrying an entire spaghetti noodle and not being able to figure out what was tripping him up. (no one is going to steal the noodle you stole little fuzz brain... so you can just drag it under the stool and eat it there in its entire 12 inch capacity.... :stickpoke: )

He did not get any eggnog (since I didn't get any either) but he did get a drop of Trader Joe's Spicy Chai in soymilk which was a huge hit!!! Since I'm not sure if dairy has the same negative effect on Zithro, Lasix and Aminophyllin as it does on the Baytril/Doxy combo, I make sure he gets anything with dairy a few hours after he has taken his meds.

On another note, do not make the mistake of allowing your four footed fur stick onto the countertops when you have food out. Yep... that's me... Socrates.

I do not need to be surprised when his front paws disappear into my room temperature softened brie while he is attempting to pilfer some of it.

At least I can count my blessings that he didn't try marking it. :sick2:

Since I am beginning to prepare for Lent (give up all sweets), Buddy has started getting pieces of Ezekiel Whole Grain Bread with raspberry preserves along with his breakfast. Great for the digestive tract! :D

Buddy still has moments where he sounds like a foghorn but he appears to be content and satisfied. He has not suffered respiratory distress but he will often hang over my arm ,while he is on my lap, which is how I know that not everything is peachy keen.

All my boys with heart conditions preferred this downward hang because it made breathing easier. Buddy generally does this shortly after receiving his zithromax and then he stops doing it after about 30 minutes.

Whatever the case, I am enjoying his company and antics while I still can and will do what is necessary when the time comes. (that's an ink cartridge, silly face! Get your nose out of there!)

Happy New Year Buddy! :D I'm glad to hear he's still going strong -- I'm sure power cords don't taste half as good as spaghetti though...yummy treats - brie, pomegranate, raspberry preserves - Forget the rats, I'm getting hungry!
