We had a big discussion about ketamine etc, and it seems to take a long time to clear the rat's system as a sedative and isn't used much anymore at all.
With metacam injections its normally only effective for 24 hours. Even then I often give another dose of metacam at 12-18 hours after surgery if they are showing any signs of pain.
Did they not send you home with any oral metacam to give to her?
