Hello! I got two girls a couple weeks ago, they are doing great. They are currently on medication for respiratory infections; their sneezing is a lot better and they have continued eating, drinking, playing, and being active. That said, I want to make sure their home is as good as it can be. I have been slowly adding more and more into their cage and I'm asking for suggestions about what yall think I should add to make their environment better for them. I will attach a photo and explain what is in it because it can be hard to see with the hardware cloth on the outside. My boyfriend and I had to put hardware cloth on the outside because they were escaping through the bars. First, the flooring is wire, so I covered it with thick cardboard and fleece fabric cut to size and clipped with binder clips on each level. I found this to be the best and most affordable way to do cover the flooring. (I may end up getting rid of the flooring to have it all open, but I like it and they enjoy running around on it) First level has a play box with cut fabric, ping pong balls, and cardboard, a wooden house, chew toys, a litter box, and water/food. Second floor has an igloo, rope, hanging wood chew, a small pocket made of fleece they sleep in sometimes, a wooden bendable latter, a hammock, and chew toys. Third level has a 12in wheel, hanging rope, ladder and coconut hideout, and (of course) chew toys. Last level, 4th level, has a triangle hideout I made out of cardboard and an old sweatshirt of mine, a basket with fleece bedding, another igloo, and food/water. I know this is a long and I appreciate if anyone would give comments about what I should add and any other suggestions! Thank you so much!
