Your probably right, but my vet is going with personal experience. He finds revo more effective for lice, not mites.

My vet prefers Ivermectin because it's got a great track record with rats. She also tells me that the ivermectin made especially for small animals is much safer for them. I'm not talking about the horse paste.

My vet suggested that because after 2 weeks doxy starts to become less effective (like building up an immunity) but after a break from it, it will work again.
