Be careful when giving blood thinners, due to the fact that there are two types of strokes; one of which can actually be caused by a bleed, and therefore giving blood thinners would make it worse. See here for more information: http://ratguide.com/health/neurological/stroke.php

Okay never mind about the blood thinners. My vet talked to some specialist somewhere and we are now going to give Predisone like SQ said earlier. I'm going to pick it up tomorrow.

Timon's still really clumsy and sleeps a lot, but seems better than last night. On the bright side, her sleeping a lot means I get to snuggle with her more :heart:

The pred should really help your little love.

Pred is definitely a good choice, it'll decrease inflammation regardless of which type of stroke it was, or if it's something else neurological like a tumor.
