Inner Ear Infection or Tumour? (Oliver)

I recall my vet saying that, sometimes, pus and infection can get so thick that it's hard for antibiotics to fully penetrate it. What about using Chloramphenicol? Oliver is a mess, I have decided that if he makes it to Monday morning, I will take him in to be pts. It's like a slow avalanche and nothing works even remotely. I am going to give him a whopping dose of metacam to keep him more comfortable again but no his health is shot, he's well over 2 years so I won't make him endure surgery, especially since multiple things are affected by this infection (eye, ear, and lump below jaw)...lancing the lump may not do a thing, but its only where the pus is collecting from an infection behind the eye or deep in the ear or ??.

The eye became a mess this morning and I took Ollie in...he's at peace now. I told him where he was going he could drink as much ensure as he wanted. :heart:

Oh, I'm sorry, Shelagh. It's so hard to lose a precious baby. I know he's drinking his Ensure and he's at peace; they all are when they cross over...it's us who miss them so much here. But I hear you; if his eye was that bad and he was hurting that badly...there's no quality of life left in the body here; he's not hurting anymore, and he's sending you much love from the other side. Still, hugs from me - I know how hard it is to lose them.
