I recently gave my rats spinach since they have spinach in their food blocks. Will they be okay?

i have read many differing opinions online about spinach and how it effects rats, some say it’s good for them others say it’s poisonous. Will they be okay eating it in moderation or should i avoid it from now on?

Spinach is a good food for them. Contains vitamin K (helps with blood clotting) and iron (prevents anemia). I would definitely feed small amounts

Please see our Reference Thread for good information including diet, nutrition, and the forbidden foods list. I believe that spinach can only be fed in moderation.
Rats also love broccoli, baby kale and other types of greens.
