Now when the boys are neutered is it true they are less likely to get penis plugs?

That's been my experience... Since having all my males neutered, I haven't dealt with a penis plug in so long.

Ive only ever had to do the cleaning for 2 of my boys. One who got PT and the other who had HED. You can smell it when you pick them up so you know when its there :sick2: When I first did it to nero, popped it out and cleaned it off I felt like a pervert and I'll never forget the expression Nero gave me when I did this to him the first time. He looked up at me with this face that said "OH MY GOD YOU PERVERT! How dare you violate me!" LMAO :lol: it was so funny. And my boy Willard who had the PT He had skin around his penis that was black.. when I first saw it I thought something was wrong, but looked it up and sometimes depending on the rat they just have black rings.

I was going to get my boys neutered when I first adopted them.. but I was unsure of their age at the time so didn't want to risk it..
probably would have been fine if I did!
